Works well but the height is higher than the listed. The wheels and handle are not included in the dimensions. and because of that it does not fit in my trunk. I would have done better with the CX30. I am using it in the back seat and in the house for an extra refrigerator. It is great at the basic function.
Given the current stay at home, I have not had a chance to take it on a long trip, and look forward to that in the future, sometime soon I hope.

So far so good. I tested this on the freeze (0 degrees) setting during an hour roundtrip drive to Costco and 45 minutes without power in a hot vehicle. It performed perfectly. It maintained near zero while powered and during 45 minutes in a hot vehicle only reached freezing (32). My test small bag of ice didn’t produce even a drop of water and the frozen groceries were well frozen when I returned home because the unit quickly went beck to zero after I started driving. Only considerations are: 1- the cooling mechanism takes up approximately 1/3 of the unit. 2- it’s a bit heavy, understandably. I would have gotten the larger unit for extra cooled space but didn’t want to sacrifice more luggage space. Next test will be 8 hour trip to the beach.

I just took this on a 5-day run of the Washington Back Country Discovery Route (WABDR) and it performed flawlessly. The route was very rough – no issues. I ran the fridge off the vehicle battery (Optima Red) the entire time, even overnight in hot weather – no issues. I did fabricate a Reflectix cover to help with the temperate maintenance and protect the fridge from physical abuse. The 40L holds a lot of stuff. I had drinks and snacks left over when I got home after 4 dinners in the woods. The determining factor on the true value of this will be the durability/longevity.
